I want to be loved, I want to be seen, I want to show, i want to be... It is human nature to want to display what we're truly capable of. Even the deepest closet introvert wants the world to take notice, if not to them personally, then to any extension of themselves. There is no greater disappointment then to never be needed by anyone for anything. Us trying to display what we can do, is just over compensation for wanting to be needed. Like a grand piece of artwork, if it is not admired then it has no value. For what is the the worth of an unseen masterpiece? How can you cherish a wasted talent?
There is a deeper psychology to the childish "show and tell". For it is the primer for greater "show and tell", which is our life.
